Description |
Omega
680 is a high performance lubricant designed
exclusively for worm gear application. It provides
several important advantages over the ordinary engine
oils and/or general-purpose gear oils hitherto used
for worm gear application. |
| |
Significantly
improves worm gear operation |
-
When
used on new or running-in gear sets, Omega
680 will actually reduce reak-in periods
and ensure proper mating of virgin metal worm
and gearsets without damaging and gouging of
metallic contact areas.
-
Omega
680 provides increased heat transfer
capabilities due to the high concentration of
solid lubricants dispersed within its proprietary
suspension system.Operating temperatures can
be reduced which, in turn, provides longer parts
life and ensures constant lubricant viscosity
for superior lubrication.
-
Omega
680 improves power transmission efficiency
and therefore can lessen power/energy consumption,
thereby reducing operation costs.

| |
Application |
Drain
off old lubricant. If the lubricant appears excessively
dirty or the gear set operates noisily, flush internally
with Omega 907 engine
flush and have an authorised technician check condition
of worm gear set. Add the Omega 680
according to quantity/volume recommended by equipment
manufacturers. Omega 680 is naturally
dull grey in colour due to the high concentration
of suspended solid lubricants. |
