delighted to announce that Magna 309 FC TIG “RootGard”,
a versatile flux-cored root pass TIG rod eliminating the
need of inert gas purging for pipe welding, is available
effective 12 April 2010.
The new Magna 309 is suitable for
joining pipes of austenitic steel, carbon steel, low
alloy steel, and their combination in oil refineries,
petrochemical / petrochemical plants, thermal power
stations, etc. Some of Magna 309’s special features &

Please note that we have modified Magna 39’s
Display Manual & PIM and re-positioned this item as a
root pass TIG rod more suitable for “food grade” 316 /
316L types of stainless steel pipes widely used in food
& beverage plants and pulp & paper mills. Please
