HONG KONG 26 February 2008
- Magna Industrial Co. Limited, a division of ITW, Inc. today launches MAGNA 66F Flux-Coated Silver Alloy for Maintenance.
Containing the same % of silver content as Magna 66 but formulated with precise flux-alloy ratio, the new flux-coated
Magna 66F offers welders extra user-friendliness since welders can apply Magna 66F directly to repair parts or components without worrying about carrying, mixing, and applying welding flux which is potentially corrosive.
Magna 66F’s outstanding capillary action is also one of the important features that makes it excellent for bonding the tightest joints (ideally for joint clearance ranging from 0.05mm to 0.15mm) without damaging the properties of the base metals.
Designed for maintenance applications, welders can use MAGNA 66F for joining almost all ferrous and non-ferrous metals (except white metals such as zinc & aluminum with low melting points). By stocking one single versatile brazing alloy, Magna 66F, end-users can reduce inventory level of many other silver brazing alloys formulated specifically for only 1 or 2 applications.
Magna 66F is available in 1/16” (1.6mm) diameter and 200gm packs.
